Ram Jethmalani is an Indian Politician and a former member of Rashtriya Janata Dal and previously was a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party till 2013. He served as India’s Union Law Minister and chairman of the Bar Council of India. Ram Jethmalani started his political career in 1971 as a professor at a University in Sindh. Then he became chairman of the Bar Association of India from 1975 to 1977. He became a Member of the Rajya Sabha in 1988. In 2010, the BJP gave him a Rajya Sabha ticket from Pakistan from 2010 to 2013, and then he was nominated by Rashtriya Janata Dal in 2016 from Bihar.
Ram Jethmalani was born on 14 September 1932 in Shikharpur, Bombay Presidency, British, India (now in Pakistan). He is the son of Boolchand Gurmukhdas Jethmalani and Parbati Boolchand. He studied at SC Sahani Law College to complete a Bachelor of Law and Master of Law. Ram Jethmalani married twin Durga Jethmalani in 1942 and then Ratna Jethmalani in 1947 and they have four children together.
