Om Birla is an Indian Politician, Agriculturist, and Social Worker. He is a former member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. In 1987, he became District President of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM). In 1991, he became State President of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha. In 1997, He was National Vice President of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha. In 2003, he was elected to the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly from Kota South. In 2008, he was re-elected to the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly from Kota South.
In 2013, he was re-elected to the Assembly for the third time having defeated Pankaj Mehta of the Indian National Congress. In 2014, he was elected to the 16th Lok Sabha from the Kota South constituency. In 2019, he was re-elected to the 17th Lok Sabha from the same constituency and served as the 17th speaker of the Parliament.
Om Birla was born on 23 November 1962 in Kota, Rajasthan, India. He has completed a Master’s Degree in Commerce. Om Birla got married to Dr. Amita Birla. He has two daughters. His father’s name is Shrikrishna Birla and his mother’s name is Shakuntala Devi. His height is 5 feet 8 inches.
