Mulayam Singh Yadav is an Indian Politician. In September 2003, he became Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh for the 3rd time. In 2004, he won the Gunnaur assembly seat in a by-election with a victory margin of 183,899, which is a record so far. In 2004, he won the Lok Sabha election from Mainpuri. In 2014, he contested the 16th Lok Sabha from 2 seats- Azamgarh & Mainpuri and won both seats. In the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, he defeated BJP’s Prem Singh Shakya by a margin of over 94,000 votes from Mainpuri.
Mulayam Singh Yadav was born on 22 November 1939 in Saifai, Etawah District, Uttar Pradesh, India. He completed a bachelor’s degree from Agra University in 1964. Then he completed his M.A. in Political Science from Agra University in 1968. His father’s name is Late Sughar Singh and his mother’s name is Murti Devi. He has five brothers and one sister. Mulayam Singh Yadav got married to Malti Devi and divorced and then he got married to Sadhana Gupta. He has two sons Akhilesh Yadav and Prateek Yadav.
