Abhishek Singhvi is an Indian Politician. He is a former member of the Indian National Congress. In April 2006, he was elected to the Rajya Sabha. He was a member of the Committee on Personnel, Public Grievances, and Law and Justice (August 2006- May 2009, August 2009- July 2011). He was a member of the Joint Committee on Offices and examined the constitutional and legal position relating to the Office of Profit (August 2006- August 2007). He was a member of the Consultative Committee for the Ministry of Urban Development (August 2006- August 2007).
He was a member of the Committee of Privileges (September 2006- September 2010). He was a member of the Consultative Committee for the Ministry of External Affairs (July 2010 onwards). He was chairman of the Committee on Personnel, Public Grievances, Law and Justice member, General Purposes Committee (July 2011 onwards). He was the spokesman for the Indian National Congress (July 2012 onwards).
Abhishek Singhvi was born on 24 February 1959 in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India. He has completed a B.A. from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University. He has completed his M.A. and Ph.D. from Trinity College. He has completed PIL from Harvard University. Abhishek Singhvi got married to Anita Singhvi in 1982. He has two sons. His father’s name is Laxmi Mall Singhvi and his mother’s name is Kamla Singhvi. His height is 5 feet 8 inches.
